The Silhouette AutoBlade 2 (Type B) offers the convenience of automated blade adjustment, taking the guesswork out of material settings. It’s ideal for cutting common craft materials like paper, cardstock, vinyl, heat transfer vinyl (HTV), and more.
This blade is compatible with the Cameo 4 series, Cameo 5 series, Cameo Pro MK‑II, Curio 2, and Portrait 3 and 4. It installs into Tool Holder 1 (the left-side, non-powered carriage) and automatically adjusts its depth based on your material selection in Silhouette Studio—no manual dial or settings required.

The AutoBlade 2 (Type B) automatically adjusts to the correct blade depth before each cut job. It’s designed for Tool Holder 1 on supported Silhouette machines. Follow these steps for proper use:
- Insert the AutoBlade 2 into Tool Holder 1 (the left carriage) of your compatible Silhouette machine.
- In Silhouette Studio, select your material type from the cut settings menu.
- Ensure the AutoBlade (Type B) is selected as the tool for your design.
- The machine will automatically adjust the blade to the appropriate depth by tapping it before cutting begins.
- Load your material and mat, then send your design to cut.
- After the cut is complete, unload your project and begin weeding or assembly as needed.
